The Cohen Brothers Friend Of Mine |
|
Here is some additional info on Stephen and Jonathan Cohen,
the brothers who made the song 'Friend Of Mine' for their
fellow Columbine students and famlies.
At the time they created the song, Stephen was a Senior and
18 years old, and Jonathan, a junior was 17.
Jonathan was in the choir room when the shooting began. He
was among a group of choir students, who ran out the door
and down the hall, As he tuned the corner, he bumped into
his sister, Diana. They then ran through the auditorium and
down another hall toward the front doors, but the glass
shattered in front of them...Shots were being fired from
behind them. Jonathan said "We ducked behind a trophy
case. A counselor motioned us outside."
Stephen was in the cafeteria, when a janitor came in and
said to get underneath the tables. Some kids started to get
up because they thought it was a prank, but then Stephen
said "Mr. Sanders came in and told us to get down and we
heard shots and we ran."
Both made it out of the building early on, and didn't see
anyone get killed.
