On May 20 suspect Kip Kinkel had gotten into trouble for bringing a gun to school and sent home early with his father. He was facing expulsion. Sometime After they got home he shot his father, and later his mother. Then on May 21 he returned to school with a rifle, went to the cafeteria and started shooting... When the police asked him why, he said "I had no other choice". During the police interview he told the detective "I wanted you to shoot me" and "I just want to die" Kip has been sentenced to 112 years in prison for the murders. |
